Community Connection 993 East Main Street In 1992, Community Connection proceeded toward its long-range goal of establishing a resource center to provide direct, ongoing post-release services. We acquired a storefront office the next year at 897 East Main Street and raised over $20,000 through various donations to support renovations and first year costs. A second grant from the Columbus Foundation provided a Center Director and allowed us to acquire additional funding from the Alliance for Cooperative Justice to support increased programming for ex-offenders as well as the majority of East Office overhead expenses. In 1997, this office moved to a larger site at 993 East Main Street to accommodate the growing programs in the areas of employment, case management and support services. Today, this office houses Community Connection’s Reentry Center funded by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services, and United Way of Central Ohio.
